Great participation in the First International Day of telecommunications consulting and engineering

There was a great turnout in Barcelona March 1st at the First International Day of telecommunications consulting and engineering, organized by Argelich Networks along with the Society of Telecommunications Consultants (STC) and Col·legi Oficial de Enginyers Tècnics de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (COETTC).

Mr. Jim Gorman, president of STC, and Mr. Ferran Amago, dean of COETTC, welcomed the attendants, followed by a series of debates:

  • Future trends in international communications: Collaboration and Cloud Mobility. Moderated by Mr. Agustín Argelich, Director of Argelich Networks (Barcelona), Board member of STC and member of COETTC and Mr. Ken Krupp, Principal Consultant of IP Network Consulting (New York), member of STC and President of the International Affairs Committee. The moderating panel also included Mr. Frank Gómez, Infrastructures Manager in Roca (Barcelona); Mr. Juan Manuel Moreno, Multinational Marketng Director in Telefónica (Madrid); Mr. Roberto de la Mora, Marketing Senior Director in Cisco (Miami); and Javier Losana, Director of professional services, solutions and support in Siemens Enterprise Network (Madrid).
  • International Management Wireless and Mobile expenses. Good practices in Devices Management. The debate was again moderated by Agustín Argelich and Mr. Ken Krupp, and included Mr. Christian Cor, Founder and Director of Saaswedo (Paris) and Mr. David Steen, CEO of Teleplus Consulting (Minnesota) and member of STC.
  • Why international independent consultant is so important in the overcoming of the current economical situation in Europe and the world? In this age of the global community and economy we must have a global philosophy. Mr. Agustín Argelich and Mr. Ken Krupp moderated the debate, with participation from Mr. Georges E. Mokhbat, Macom Sarl associated and President of Franco-Lebanese Association of Computer Professionals (París-Beirut-Dubai); Jim Gorman, Communications Engineering President in LLC (New York) and president of STC; Lluís Alberich, Industrial and Services Director in Mercabarna; and Miguel Hernández, independent expert.

The event was concluded by Carles Flamerich, Telecommunications General Manager and Information Society of Generalitat de Catalunya and Manel Sanromà, Manager of Institut Municipal d’Informàtica (IMI) de l’Ajuntament de Barcelona.
